About Us

In 2019, heart attacks were the biggest cause of mortality in women.

We are on a mission to normalise the taboo of removing the bra and exposing our boobs during these potentially lifesaving circumstances.

Waps, nooks, boobies, buns…whatever you call them…

Our Story

Since it’s launch in 2022, Bra Off Defib On has been raising awareness that women wearing bras are 27% less likely to have a CPR conducted on them, compared to men.

The campaign was launched by Jenny Legg, a Learning and Development professional with extensive experience in delivering First Aid training. She owns Training Legs First Aid and is the lead trainer for First Aid for Mental Health.

Throughout every training session Jenny conducts she ensures this cause is front and centre and has also developed specific projects which focus on bra removal, all with the aim to make sure that people feel confident in putting this message into practice.

Our Trustees

We are so pleased and proud to have the below people as the trustees to our charity.

They have been advocates for the campaign for many years and are all hugely passionate about getting the message out to the world that we all need to ‘bare the chest to save the rest’ and safe use of a defibrillator.

Mia Neupauerova

Founder, Neupauer Training

“It’s important we open up conversations some people might be uncomfortable even asking about. Especially when it comes to saving lives.”

“As a First Aid & Pre Hospital Care Trainer and active CFR, I have seen on occasion the hesitancy that some people have in exposing female patients, who are in cardiac arrest. These delays in starting and even not stating CPR or applying AED pads, can lead to very poor outcomes. We need to open the conversation and change attitudes to improve the survival rates.”

Jane Galloway

Founder, Quiet the Hive

As someone who supports women to make the most of life, it was important to me to shout about this literal life or death vital information which can make all the difference to female survival rates.

Heather Kingdon

Owner, Assist First Aid Training

“Those first few minutes are critical and females have a significant disadvantage than males – purely due to the presence of breasts. All people, whether they have breasts or not, should have awareness of this.”

Our Champions

Our yes people, our hype humans, our shout it from the roof top motivators.

They have been supporting the campaign in its infancy, its growth and now into charity status. We could not do this without the support of these amazing organisations, companies and fellow humans – We thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
